Obverse
Chocorua is featured at the top of Mount Chocorua in the obverse design of the 2023 Proof Native America the Beautiful New Hampshire Silver Coin. Chocorua is said to have jumped from the summit of the mountain to his death. Some versions of the legend say that his body was never found, while others say that it was discovered by a search party and buried on the mountain. The legend of Chocorua is still told today and has become a part of New Hampshire folklore.
Reverse
For the reverse design of each 2023 Proof New Hampshire Silver Coin, you will find the Native American Mints common design for the collection. Each coin shows an American bald eagle at the center with indigenous artwork behind it and arrowheads between the points of the stylized sun.
History
The Abenaki were known for their basket weaving, particularly the creation of intricate fancy baskets made from ash splints.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
