{{/presale}}Discover the groundbreaking 2024 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Sheets, ushering in a notable change for the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Series. Since its establishment in 1979, this series has undergone subtle modifications, including enhanced security features and updated monarch portraits. However, the transformation witnessed in 2024 is truly remarkable. Now available for purchase online from BGASC, these Gold Maple Leaf Sheets embody the evolving legacy of this esteemed series.
Highlights:
These 2024 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Sheets contain 40 individual coins, each housed within the sheet in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. With a total of 4 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold, these sheets are a remarkable addition to any collection.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2024 1/10 oz Gold Maple Leafs features a left-profile bust of His Majesty King Charles III, elegantly attired in a suit. In a departure from tradition, he appears without a crown, maintaining the opposing left-profile orientation.
Reverse
Turning to the reverse, you’ll discover the timeless sugar maple leaf, designed in 1979 by Walter Ott. This image beautifully captures the natural grace of the sugar maple leaf, a consistent feature across all coins in the series.
History
Since 1979, the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Series has featured four distinct monarch portraits, all depicting Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II until the 2023 release. The initial two portraits originated from Royal Mint designs in England. In 1990, the Royal Canadian Mint shifted to Canadian artists for the depiction of Her Majesty. Notably, Dora de Pederey-Hunt designed the third-generation portrait used from 1990 to 2003, followed by Susanna Blunt’s fourth-generation design used from 2003-2023. Now, King Charles III takes center stage on these coins for the first time ever.
