{{/presale}}Not just a top-selling gold bullion coin globally, Canadian Gold Maple Leafs also hold the position as the market’s second oldest series. Only the Krugerrand from the South African Mint predates it. A significant moment in the series’ history occurred in 1982, when the purity was enhanced to 24-karat gold. Now, BGASC has 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Tubes of random date coins available to purchase online.
Highlights:
The 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Tube presents a set of 10 coins, individually containing .9999 pure gold and showcasing varied date marks. The available dates in this tube encompass the years from 1982 to the present. Please bear in mind that we cannot guarantee a specific date or design for the coins enclosed in the tube.
Obverse
All 1 oz Gold Maple Leafs in this tube showcase Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. These coins present three distinct effigies of the Queen. The first design, crafted by Arnold Machin, adorned coins until 1989. From 1990 to 2004, the second design, created by Dora de Pedery-Hunt, was featured. Since 2005, the third design, by Susanna Blunt, has been consistently used.
Reverse
The reverse side of Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins in this tube showcases the distinctive sugar maple leaf. Originally created by Walter Ott in 1979 for the Gold Maple, this depiction of a natural sugar maple leaf has been consistently replicated on the silver, platinum, and palladium editions of the coin.
History
When the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf was introduced, the only other gold bullion coin available was the South African Gold Krugerrand. The Maple Leaf debuted at the perfect time as economic sanctions were about to take a big bit out of the availability of Krugerrands in Western economies.
