The name Chupacabra, meaning “goat-sucker” in Spanish, comes from its alleged habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats. BGASC now offers the 1 oz Intaglio Mint Chupacabra Silver Rounds.

These 1 oz Intaglio Mint Chupacabra Silver Rounds are part of a broader series of Cryptozoology-inspired designs. Other creatures in this series include The Mothman, The Kraken, The Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, and the Jackalope. The rounds are available individually in plastic flips or in tubes of 20 for larger purchases.
Obverse
The obverse of the Intaglio Mint Chupacabra Silver Round depicts the mythical Chupacabra in a slight left-profile relief as it looms over the body of a goat, caught in the act of draining its blood.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 1 oz Chupacabra Silver Round features a common design for Intaglio Mint silver rounds, including an I-shaped column at the center with a beaded border and the identifying hallmarks of the round. The name of the mint is also inscribed on this side.
History
The Chupacabra is said to attack animals, particularly livestock, and drain them of blood through small incisions. This vampire-like behavior is central to its mythology. The Chupacabra quickly became a part of modern folklore, especially in Latin American cultures. It has been featured in various forms of media, including books, movies, and television shows.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
