Obverse
The obverse of the 10 Peso Colombian Gold Coin features a right-profile relief of Simon Bolivar. In this design, Bolivar is depicted as a young man with rugged features and a serious demeanor. The coin also displays the markings of the nation and the year of issue.
Reverse
On the reverse, the national coat of arms of Colombia is showcased. The Andean condor, which represents freedom, is the central feature of the coat of arms. It is depicted with outstretched wings, holding an olive branch in its beakan emblem of peace, which was a primary goal for Bolivar. Below the condor, a pomegranate symbolizes the unity of the Colombian people, echoing Bolivar’s vision of a unified Gran Colombia.
History
Simon Bolivar, also known as “El Libertador” (The Liberator), is a pivotal figure in Colombia’s modern history. He played a key role in the independence movements throughout Latin America, including Colombia. His vision for a united Latin America influenced the design of the Colombian coat of arms, a symbol of the nations history and aspirations. Adopted in 1834, the coat of arms includes several elements that reflect Bolivar’s ideals and the nation’s struggle for independence.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
