{{/presale}}Silver coins are traditionally available in a 1 oz silver weight as the primary option for investors. While fractional-ounce coins and those in 2 oz, 5 oz, and 10 oz are increasingly common, there is a silver bullion option out there that remains relatively rare. 1.25 oz silver is a unique option and was first introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2015. Right now, you can purchase varied condition 1.25 oz Silver Coins from any mint online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Provident Metals offers the 1.25 oz Silver Coins in this listing in conditions that vary by product and with mints of origin that vary as well. Each of the coins will be packaged in protective plastic flips unless the original mint packaging is available. These coins vary in condition from those that are brand new or with light wear and tear to those coins that have heavier signs of wear and tear or detracting flaws.
When you buy silver through this listing, Provident Metals selects your silver coin after your payment has been processed. We cannot guarantee the coins condition, date, and design in advance. All coins are chosen at random. Please note that buying multiples can result in receiving coins with the same dates, designs, conditions, and mints of origin.
Designs
Obverse and reverse design elements on these 1.25 oz Silver Coins vary by the mint of origin. The most prominent coin in this weight is the Canadian Bison Silver Series. The worlds first-ever 1.25 oz silver coin, the Canadian Bison Silver Series features new designs on the reverse face of the coins. The first release in 2015 depicted a plains bison running in a field in the valley at the foot of a mountain range. The second release in 2016 showed a plains bison drinking from a small body of water. The final design of the collection was released in 2017 and featured the wood bison, a subspecies native to Canada.
On the obverse of the 1.25 oz Silver Coins in this particular series, you will find a right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This bust of the Queen has been in use on Canadian silver coins since 2003 and was designed by Susanna Blunt.
