Each 1880-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coin available here is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins ship individually in protective plastic flips, and larger orders of 20 will arrive in plastic tubes. This 1880 release marks the third issue in the Morgan Dollar Series, with coins minted at four different facilities.
Obverse
The obverse of the 1880-S Morgan Dollar features a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap. Designed by George T. Morgan, the image includes 13 stars around Liberty, representing the original colonies. The inspiration for this Liberty design came from Anna Williams, a teacher from Philadelphia.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 1880-S Morgan Silver Dollar, youll see the American bald eagle. With wings spread wide, the eagle clutches arrows and an olive branch, representing strength and peace. This design, also by George T. Morgan, includes a laurel wreath below the eagle.
History
In 1880, three US Mint branch locations produced large quantities of Morgan Dollars, while a fourth provided nominal volume to the overall mintage. Philadelphia minted the most with 12.6 million coins, while Carson City had the fewest at 591,000. The New Orleans Mint contributed 5.305 million coins, while the San Francisco Mint produced 8.9 million of these 1880-S Morgan Dollars.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
