Introduced in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar Coin remains one of the most cherished silver dollar designs in U.S. history. Designed by George T. Morgan, the Morgan Dollar series was produced from 1878 to 1904, with a final release in 1921. Now, the 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coin is available at BGASC.

Obverse

The obverse of the 1881-S Morgan Dollar Coin features Lady Liberty in left-profile relief. She wears a Phrygian cap and a coronet crown adorned with a laurel wreath. The 13 stars surrounding her represent the original American colonies.

Reverse

On the reverse of 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar, youll find the heraldic eagle, shown facing forward with its wings spread wide. The eagle holds arrows and an olive branch in its talons, and is surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel.

History

The 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar was struck at the San Francisco Mint, which produced 12,760,000 coins, the largest total of any branch mint that year. In addition to San Francisco, production also took place in Philadelphia, New Orleans, and Carson City.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. When will my order ship?

Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.

Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
