Reverse

History
Named after George T. Morgan, former Chief Engraver of the US Mint, the Morgan Silver Dollars have a rich history dating back to their debut in 1878. The New Orleans Mint began minting these coins the following year, making them truly iconic pieces of American numismatic heritage. While the coins made a comeback in 1921 and again in 2021, the New Orleans Mint exclusively produced them from 1879 to 1904.
