{{/presale}}The 1885 Morgan Silver Dollar is particularly noteworthy for being produced at four US Mint branch locations, marking the end of an era in minting. From 1878 to 1885, these coins were struck each year at four branch mints. Post-1885, this would only occur four more times, ending in 1904 and briefly reappearing in 1921. Today, you can secure 1885-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins graded and authenticated by the CAC from BGASC.

Coins with this grade are known for their strong visual appeal, with only light, scattered contact marks and no major flaws in the primary focal points. These coins have minimal hairlines and a luster that is above average. The CAC has authenticated the Mint State 65+ grade assigned by the PCGS.
Obverse
Lady Liberty adorns the obverse of the 1885-S Morgan Dollar. Designed by George T. Morgan, this left-profile portrait shows Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, laurel wreath, and coronet crown. Thirteen stars encircle her on this side of the coin.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1885-S Morgan Silver Dollar features the heraldic eagle. Also designed by Morgan, this image depicts a front-facing bald eagle with wings spread wide, clutching arrows and an olive branch to represent war and peace.
History
In 1885, the Morgan Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, New Orleans Mint, Carson City Mint, and San Francisco Mint. The closure of the Carson City Mint from 1886 to 1888 meant that only three mints would strike the Morgan Dollar over the next three years, ending a streak of four-mint production that briefly resumed from 1889 to 1893.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
