{{/presale}}Introduced in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar is often regarded as one of the most iconic silver coins in American history. Designed by George T. Morgan, these coins were minted from 1878 to 1904, with a final strike in 1921. The 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar is now available for purchase from BGASC.

These 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are available in Mint State 66 condition. Coins in this grade exhibit high surface quality, with near-full mint luster and minimal imperfections visible only under magnification.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 1887 Morgan Dollar Coin, you will find the famous image of Lady Liberty. Created by George T. Morgan in 1878, this left-profile portrait shows Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, a coronet crown, and a laurel wreath. Surrounding Liberty are 13 stars, representing the original U.S. states.
Reverse
The reverse design of 1887 Morgan Silver Dollars features the heraldic eagle, which stands as a powerful symbol of strength and freedom. The eagle is depicted with its wings spread, holding an olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel. This iconic design has become a symbol of the United States’ resilience and spirit.
History
The 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar was minted primarily at the Philadelphia Mint, which produced over 20 million coins. Other mints in New Orleans and San Francisco also contributed to the production, but in smaller quantities.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
