From north to south and east to west, different mints across the US made these $5 gold coins with the Liberty Head design. Among them, the New Orleans Mint produced a relatively smaller number. Highlights:
Each 1893-O $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagle Coin available here is an AU58 specimen, which means it’s About Uncirculated or Almost Uncirculated. These coins are at the higher end of the AU range, showing only minimal signs of wear on the highest parts of the coin. They may also have some medium or full mint luster.
Obverse
On the obverse of 1893 $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles, you’ll find Lady Liberty’s left-profile bust with a coronet crown on her head and a ring of stars around the design field.
Reverse
The reverse design of 1893-O Liberty Gold Half Eagle Coins features a heraldic eagle facing forward, along with the US national shield, arrows of war, and an olive branch of peace. The national motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is included on a banner above the eagle.
History
The 1893 release of $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles was mostly produced by the Philadelphia Mint, making more than 1.5 million coins. San Francisco followed with 224,000 coins, while Carson City issued the fewest at just 60,000 coins in its final year of operation.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
