{{/presale}}In 1838, Christian Gobrecht, the United States Mints 3rd Chief Engraver, introduced the design for the Liberty Head Eagle. This $10 gold coin became the longest-running design in the US Eagle series. While it was featured on $10, $5, and $2.50 Eagles, the $10 Liberty Gold Eagle had the most extended production, running until 1907. Right now, certified 1893 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins are available from BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 1893 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle comes to you in Mint State 64 condition, meaning it displays good mint luster with some light, scattered contact marks. These marks may be visible in the focal points of the design, with a few light hairlines possibly appearing on the coin’s surface.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 1893 Liberty Gold Eagle, youll find a portrait of Lady Liberty in left-profile relief. She is crowned with a coronet, and the design is surrounded by 13 stars, representing the original American colonies. The coins date mark is placed below her portrait.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1893 $10 Liberty Eagle showcases the heraldic eagle of the United States. Gobrechts design depicts the bald eagle holding the arrows of war and an olive branch of peace, with the US national shield on its chest. Above the eagle is a banner displaying the national motto, a hallmark of the Type II design.
History
In 1893, four US Mint branches struck Liberty Gold Eagles, with the highest production coming from the Philadelphia Mint. Philadelphia struck 1,840,840 coins that year, while San Francisco minted just over 141,000, New Orleans produced 17,000, and Carson City issued 14,000 coins.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
