Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the third Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, this design first appeared in 1838 on several denominations, including the $10, $5, and $2.50 Eagles. Obverse
The obverse of the 1901-S $10 Liberty Gold Eagle features the image of Lady Liberty in left-profile relief. This portrait was created by Christian Gobrecht, with Liberty depicted wearing a coronet crown. The outer field of the design contains 13 stars representing the original colonies, with the year of issue shown below.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 1901-S Liberty Gold Eagle Coin is the heraldic eagle of the United States, also designed by Gobrecht. The eagle clutches arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing both war and peace. A banner above the eagle bears the national motto, and the S mint mark is located on this side of the coin, indicating it was struck at the San Francisco Mint.
History
The United States Mint produced the $10 Liberty Gold Eagle at three different mints in 1901. The San Francisco Mint led production with over 2.8 million coins, while the Philadelphia and New Orleans Mints produced much smaller numbers.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
