Obverse
For the obverse of Morgan Silver Dollar Coins a bust of Lady Liberty is featured. This acclaimed portrait presents Lady Liberty in left-profile relief with a crown of wheat and Phrygian cap. The portrait is flanked by rows of stars and inscriptions reading E Pluribus Unum, 1904.
Reverse
For the reverse of 1904-O Morgan Silver Dollars a bald eagle is featured. This heraldic motif offers an exquisite representation of Americas national bird. More lifelike than other versions on American coinage, this motif is accompanied by a pair of laurels tied with a festive ribbon.
History
The enduring appeal of the Morgan Silver Dollar is partly due to the iconic Lady Liberty portrait on the coins obverse. While previous Lady Liberty effigies were inspired by classical Greek art, for this design George T. Morgan used an American woman named Anna Willess Williams as a model. Morgan was amazed by Williams perfect profile and had her sit for five sessions until the design was perfected. Today, the engraving is considered Morgans finest achievement.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
