History
Three branch mints issued Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles in 1924, setting a total mintage of 10.3 million coins, the highest single-year total for Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles. Philadelphia struck more than 4.3 million coins, Denver more than 3 million coins, and San Francisco more than 2.9 million coins. Philadelphia coins lack a mint mark, while Denver and San Francisco coins have D or S mint marks, respectively.
