The initial release of the coin featured a 1 oz silver option, and the series has expanded and contracted in terms of options available since then. Like the Silver Kookaburra Series, the Silver Koala changes its reverse visuals annually using a similar design concept. BGASC offers you the 2007 1 oz Australian Silver Koala Coin with an individual plastic flip for delivery. The coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come from a relatively low mintage of 137,768 coins.
Obverse
2007 Australian Silver Koala Coins feature a right-profile relief of Queen Elizabeth II on their obverse side. The design by Ian Rank-Broadley was first introduced in 1998 and has been a popular choice for over 20 years, with the addition of the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 1 oz Silver Koala Coin from 2007, the beloved marsupial, the koala, is depicted. The design shows the koala clinging to a branch of a eucalyptus tree and is highly detailed, featuring various textures and dimensions that provide contrast across the field.
History
The mintage of the 2007 Australian Silver Koala was relatively high at more than 137,000 coins, but it pales in comparison to the highest mintage in this series. Amidst the Great Recession, the Silver Koala sold more than 910,000 coins in its 1 oz silver weight.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
