Reverse

Turning to the reverse side, the 2014 1 oz Silver Philharmonic Coin dazzles with an array of musical instruments. A prominent cello takes center stage, flanked gracefully by two violins. The backdrop paints a harmonious picture, featuring a harp, bassoon, and French horn. Inscriptions include WIENER PHILHARMONIKER, and SILBER.

History

Austrian Philharmonics stand as global favorites in the realm of bullion coins. The coin program’s journey began in 1989, introducing 1 oz and 1/4 oz gold coins, soon expanding to encompass fractional weights like the 1/25 oz. The year 2008 marked the introduction of a 1 oz silver coin, followed by a 1 oz platinum coin eight years later. The design, which debuted on the 1989 Austrian Gold Philharmonic, has carried over to all coins in the series.
