{{/presale}}Each coin in the series was struck in 1/2 ounce of 24-karat gold and featured the portrait of the First Spouse on the obverse, along with inscriptions of their name, the coin’s year of issue, and their years of service. The reverse design of each coin was unique and focused on a theme that was significant to the First Spouse being honored. The coins were available in both proof and uncirculated finishes, with proof coins being struck multiple times with specially polished dies to give them a mirrored background and frosted, sculpted foregrounds, while uncirculated coins had a matte finish. The First Spouse Gold Series was highly collectible and remains a popular choice among coin collectors today. Right now, BGASC now has 2015-W 1/2 oz Proof US Mint First Spouse Jacqueline Kennedy Gold Coins available for purchase online.
