{{/presale}}This Brilliant Uncirculated Block Island (Rhode Island) 5 oz Silver America The Beautiful .999 Fine Bullion Coin is the fifth of 2018 and the 45th overall in the America the Beautiful Coins Program. The reverse design of this silver bullion coin depicts a black-crowned night-heron flying over a view from the beach at Cow Cove looking towards Sandy Point. The North Light lighthouse is seen in the background. Design candidates were developed in consultation with representatives of Block Island National Wildlife Refuge. Inscriptions are “BLOCK ISLAND,” “RHODE ISLAND,” “2018” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
Block Island National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1973, is located 12 miles off the southern coast of Rhode Island and sits on a terminal moraine shaped by glacial till deposits creating rolling dunes. Covering 133 acres, it is a critical migratory bird stopover point on the Atlantic coast, with fruit-bearing shrubs providing essential food for the species of birds that come to rest there. These wild lands are known internationally for spectacular bird watching and breathtaking barrier beaches.

The 5 oz silver America The Beautiful Coins (ATB’s) all resemble a Washington quarter but are significantly larger (76.20 millimeter diameter) and contain 99.9% silver at a weight of 155.5 grams. Each coin depicts a United States National Park on the reverse and John Flanagan’s 1932 portrait of George Washington on the obverse. Inscriptions on the obverse are UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and QUARTER DOLLAR. The edges of these 5 oz silver bullion coins are smooth and contain the incused inscription: .999 FINE SILVER 5.0 OUNCE. The coin will be sent to you in a protective Air-Tite Capsule.
Quantities of 10 will ship in unopened mint tubes and Air-Tite Capsules will be included with your order.
When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
