Highlights:
The 2020 (Y) 1 Kilo Proof Chinese Gold Panda Coins are graded PF70, meaning they are in perfect condition with no visible flaws. The ultra-cameo (UCAM) finish enhances the coin’s appearance, with frosted designs set against deeply mirrored fields. The “First Release” label means these coins were graded within 30 days of release. Struck at the Shenyang Mint in Liaoning Province, China, these coins are an important part of Chinese numismatic history.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2020 (Y) 1 Kilo Proof Gold Panda Coin features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This has been the design on Gold Pandas since 1982. The Hall is part of the Temple of Heaven complex in Beijing, and the design shows the exterior staircase leading to its entrance.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2020 (Y) Proof Chinese Gold Panda, you will find a representation of a Giant Panda resting among bamboo. Known for their playful nature, giant pandas spend a lot of time socializing and engaging in activities that help develop their skills. These animals live in a specialized environment within the mountains of central China, where dense bamboo forests provide a home for them.
History
Unfortunately, human activities like logging, agriculture, and infrastructure development have dramatically reduced their habitat, with current estimates suggesting less than 1,600 wild pandas remain in approximately 20 isolated mountain ranges, making their ecological preservation a critical global conservation priority.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
