Obverse
The obverse of the 2021 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coin continues to feature Adolph A. Weinmans timeless 1916 design, known as Walking Liberty. The Type 2 release now includes Weinman’s original AW signature mark.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2021 Proof American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coin displays a bald eagle in flight, wings outstretched as it grasps a robust oak branch. The oak branch symbolizes strength and durability, chosen by Damstra for its significance. Type 2 coins also feature a variation in the reeded edge for added anti-counterfeiting defense.
History
When the Proof American Silver Eagle was first issued in 1986, it featured the image of Walking Liberty on the obverse and the Heraldic Eagle on the reverse. John Mercanti, US Mint Assistant Engraver, created the latter design, offering a modern rendition of a design that has appeared on American coins since 1794. Fast forward to 2021, the 35th anniversary of the series, and the US Mint has refreshed the reverse image with a new soaring bald eagle. Emily Damstra, a member of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program, designed this captivating image.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
