Obverse
On the obverse of the 2022 Australian Gold Sea Turtle Coin is the sixth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Created in 2015 by Jody Clark for The Royal Mint, this portrait has appeared on Australian coinage since 2018 and features the Queen at age 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2022 1/4 oz Gold Sea Turtle Coin features a right-profile depiction of a sea turtle swimming. Sea turtles are essential to Australias marine ecosystems, from feeding various predators as hatchlings to balancing seagrass and algae levels as adults, helping maintain healthy habitats.
History
The Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage site off the northeast coast of Australia, is a crucial habitat for sea turtles. Its warm, shallow waters and rich seagrass beds are perfect for turtles to rest, feed, and nest. The reef is estimated to support over 60,000 green turtles alone, making it one of the most significant turtle populations in the world.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
