Obverse
The obverse of 2022 Somalia Elephant Gold Coins features an image of the national coat of arms. The Somali coat of arms features an element from the national flag, with a single star at the center of a shield. This shield has a background field of horizontal lines with leopards supporting the shield on either side. The shield has fern leaves and spears crossed beneath it with a banner draped along the spears. Inscriptions on this field include SOMALI REPUBLIC, 2022, and 1000 SHILLINGS.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2022 Somalia Elephant 1 oz Gold Coin is a depiction of African bush elephants. The bush elephant is shown here in a family unit, with an adult walking along the savanna with its young calf at its side. The design field also includes a small flock of birds overhead with trees on the horizon in the distance. Inscriptions here read AFRICAN WILDLIFE, ELEPHANT, and 1 OZ AU 999.9.

The African bush elephant is one of the three surviving species of elephant in the world today. Two of those three species of elephant live on the African continent, with the African bush elephant tipping the scales as the largest land mammal in the world by weight. The second-largest species in the world is the Asian elephant, followed by the third-largest species, the African forest elephant.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
