BGASC has 2023 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins available with near-perfect grades. Mint state 69 coins exhibit full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. These minor detractions are limited to minuscule contact marks or hairlines only and must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin. The Early Release label means the coins were received for grading inside 30 days of release from the mint.

Obverse

Lady Liberty features on the obverse side of 2023 American Gold Eagle Coins. This design element features the full-length figure of Liberty in front-facing relief as she strides toward the viewer. She is shown holding up a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.

Reverse

An American bald eagle graces the reverse field of the 2023 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Coin. In this image, the head of the eagle is shown in left-profile relief with detailed visuals for its eyes and beak, as well as layered detail for the plumage.

History

The reverse design of American Gold Eagles comes from Jennie Norris. Designed in 2020, this design made its debut in mid-2021 as a replacement for the original reverse design created back in 1986 by Miley Busiek.
