Obverse
Lady Liberty is depicted in the obverse design of the 2023 American Gold Eagle. This work of art was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and shows Libertys full-length figure in front-facing relief as she walks toward you with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other.
Reverse
An American bald eagle graces the reverse side of 2023 1 oz Gold Eagle Coins. In this design, the head of the bald eagle is shown in left-profile relief with incredible layers of detail. The striking gaze of the eagle and its exceptional plumage.
History
American Gold Eagles were available from 1986 to mid-2021 with a different reverse design. The original artwork on the reverse was created by Miley Busiek and featured a family of bald eagles in the nest.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
