Obverse
For the obverse design of the 2023 1 oz Czech Lion Silver Coin, the mint has chosen to feature the Public Seal of Niue, a first for the series. The inclusion of the seal reflects Niue’s decision to add it to their bullion coins in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
Reverse
In the reverse design of the 2023 Niue Czech Lion Silver Coins, the Czech Mint has captured the fierce majesty of the Czech Lion. The lion is depicted towering over the Crown of St. Wenceslas, a symbol of Czech statehood that adds a layer of historical significance to the coin’s design.
History
The Crown of St. Wenceslas has played a significant role in Czech history and is closely associated with the country’s monarchy. It was used in the coronation of several Bohemian kings and was kept in the royal treasury in Prague for centuries. Today, the crown is one of the most important symbols of Czech statehood and is kept in the Crown Chamber of Prague Castle, where it is on display to the public.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed.
