Obverse
On the obverse of 2023 1 oz Silver Blackbeard Jolly Roger Coins, you will find the Public Seal of Niue. An emblem representative of the Niuean government, this seal now replaces effigies of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on many Niuean coins.
Reverse
The reverse of 2023 Silver Blackbeard Coins features the Jolly Roger. According to legend, the flag shown here was flown by Blackbeard on his flagship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge. It depicts a skeletal figure with a spear in its hand aimed at a heart.
History
In November 1718, Blackbeard’s piratical career came to an end. A naval force led by Lieutenant Robert Maynard was dispatched to capture him. In a fierce battle off the coast of North Carolina, Blackbeard was eventually overcome. He sustained numerous gunshot wounds and multiple sword cuts before finally succumbing to his injuries. Maynard then beheaded Blackbeard and hung his severed head from the bow of his ship, concluding the legend of the fearsome pirate.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days.
