It was created to commemorate the end of World War I and promote peace. To mark its centennial debut, the US Mint has reintroduced this iconic coin in 2021. Obverse
The obverse design of the 2023 Peace Dollar Coin showcases Lady Liberty with a radiant crown adorning her head. She is depicted in left-profile relief, with flowing hair and gentle facial features.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2023 Peace Silver Dollars, you will find a captivating bald eagle perched on a rock cliff. As a symbol of peace, the eagle holds an olive branch in its talons, with its wings resting by its side, facing away from the viewer.
History
The early 1921 Peace dollars were minted with high relief, which means the design elements were raised prominently. However, the high relief made it difficult to strike the coins fully, resulting in many of them having weak or incomplete details. Later in 1922, the Mint switched to a lower relief design, which made production easier and resulted in crisper, more defined coins.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
