Each of the 2023-S Proof Peace Silver Dollar Coins is in impeccable condition. PR70 coins retain their original mint shine and are completely flawless. The First Strike designation indicates that the coins were graded within 30 days of their initial minting.
Obverse
Turning to the coin’s design, the obverse of the 2023-S Proof Peace Dollar displays Lady Liberty’s image, created by Anthony di Francisci. Liberty is portrayed facing left, her flowing hair adorned with a radiant crown of light.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the coin, you’ll find a portrayal of the American bald eagle. This design depicts the eagle perched on a cliff’s edge, clutching an olive brancha timeless symbol of peacein its talons. Notably, the eagle lacks the shield and arrows typically seen during times of conflict, signifying the nation’s aspiration for tranquility.
History
When the Peace Silver Dollar was introduced in 1921, it was exclusively produced by the Philadelphia Mint. However, by 1922, both the San Francisco Mint and the Denver Mint joined in the coin’s production.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
