{{/presale}}In 2014, the Holy Land Mint introduced the Dove of Peace series, featuring remarkable silver rounds that highlight the rich history of the Jewish people and the land of Israel. These beautiful bullion pieces display a dove along with the iconic walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. Over the past decade, the collection has expanded to include silver bars and gold rounds. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Holy Land Mint has released a special privy-mark edition. Right now, the 2024 1/10 oz Holy Land Mint Dove of Peace 10th Anniversary Gold Rounds are available at BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2024 1/10 oz Holy Land Mint Dove of Peace 10th Anniversary Gold Round is presented in a themed black presentation card. The round is securely housed in protective plastic at the center of the card, showcasing the number 0 within the 10th-anniversary print on the front. The Dove of Peace design has become popular for its deep religious and cultural meanings over the years.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2024 Holy Land Mint Dove of Peace 10th Anniversary Gold Rounds, the famous Dove of Peace is depicted flying over the Old City while carrying an olive branch. This symbol is widely recognized in both Christian and Jewish traditions, representing themes of hope, reconciliation, and divine guidance. In biblical stories, the dove is noted for bringing an olive branch to Noah after the Great Flood, indicating the waters had receded. Additionally, the dove is linked to the Holy Spirit in Christian tradition.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2024 1/10 oz Dove of Peace 10th Anniversary Gold Rounds features the logo of the Holy Land Mint prominently displayed at the center. Above the logo, the word “JERUSALEM” is engraved, while the bottom edge of the design includes details about the weight, metal content, and purity of the round.
History
A significant aspect of the obverse design is the silhouette of the Old City of Jerusalem. This city has an incredibly rich and layered history, acting as a spiritual and cultural center for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Archaeological evidence indicates that Jerusalem has been continuously inhabited for more than 5,000 years. The Old City is home to numerous holy sites, including the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock, reflecting its importance to multiple faiths.
