The obverse of the 2024 Colorized Australian Silver Lunar Blue Dragon Coin displays the detailed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, crafted by Jody Clark. This iconic portrait shows the Queen adorned with the Royal Diadem, surrounded by inscriptions noting the coin’s denomination and country of origin. Inscriptions include ELIZABETH 1952-2022, AUSTRALIA, JC, 50 CENTS, and 1/2 OZ 9999 AG.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2024 1/2 oz Colorized Silver Lunar Blue Dragon Coin showcases an enchanting blue dragon, a powerful and auspicious symbol in Chinese culture. The dragon is depicted mid-flight, pursuing a flaming pearl that represents wisdom. Additional details include the year of issue, the Chinese character for “dragon,” and a special mint mark celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint. Inscriptions read P125, DRAGON, and 2024.
History
In the Chinese zodiac, the dragon holds the fifth position and is the only mythical creature among the twelve animals. According to legend, the Jade Emperor hosted a race to determine the order of the zodiac signs, with the dragon finishing fifth.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
