Each of the 2024 1 Kilo British Silver Britannia Coins is protected in its own acrylic capsule. These coins look really nice and new, and they’re being offered for only the second time in this series. Gold Britannias first came out in 1987, and then Silver Britannias in 1997.
Obverse
The front of the 2024 British Silver Britannia Coins shows a picture of King Charles III. He’s shown from the side, without a crown on his head. An artist named Martin Jennings made this picture in late 2022 to use on British coins after Queen Elizabeth II passed away.
Reverse
The back of the 2024 1 Kilo Silver Britannias has Britannia, a symbol of how strong Britain is and its powerful navy. Britannia is standing by the coast with a trident in one hand, a shield with the Union Jack in the other, and a special helmet on her head.
History
Britannia first showed up on British coins way back during Roman times when Britain was part of the Roman Empire. But the way Britannia looks on British coins today started during the time of Charles II in the late 1600s. Her image has changed as time went on, showing different art styles and what Britain stands for.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
