Each 2024 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin available here comes with a unique 24-karat gold application. This gilded layer is a delicate coating of gold that adorns the sugar maple leaf on the reverse of the coin. The coins are housed in a protective plastic capsule and are produced in limited quantities each year.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2024 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins, you will see the first Royal Canadian Mint portrait of King Charles III. He is depicted in left-profile relief without a crown. This design was created for the mint by artist Steven Rosati.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2024 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coin features the renowned sugar maple leaf. Initially designed for this series in 1979 by Walter Ott, the maple leaf is presented in a fresh light with the gilded version. The design itself remains unchanged, but the 24-karat gold layer provides a stunning contrast between the leaf and the background.
History
The 2024 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf stands out not only for the new monarch portrait on the obverse but also for the historical importance of this change. This effigy of King Charles III marks his first appearance on this coin series, making it the first time a monarch other than Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the Silver Maple Leaf Coins.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
