The Australian Brumby, a symbol of wild beauty and resilience, has roots dating back to the late 1700s when settlers introduced horses to Australia. Over time, some of these horses escaped, eventually adapting to the countrys rugged landscape. The Perth Mint first introduced the Brumby coin series in 2020. Now, the 2024 1 oz Colorized Australian Brumby Silver Coin is available at BGASC.

Obverse

The obverse side of the 2024 Colorized Australian Brumby Silver Coin features a portrait of King Charles III. This is the first time His Majesty has appeared on the Brumby Series, with a left-profile effigy by Dan Thorne. The design reflects a new chapter in Australian coinage with the transition to King Charles III.

Reverse

On the reverse, the 2024 1 oz Colorized Brumby Silver Coin captures the wild Australian brumby galloping across a desert backdrop. The sky has been enhanced with vivid purple hues and a bolt of lightning to give the scene an electric feel.

History

The brumby has become synonymous with survival, having evolved to live in Australias tough environments. Whether in the mountainous regions or the arid outback, these horses are known for their adaptability and strength.
