Obverse
King Charles III graces the obverse of the 2024 Australian Silver Kookaburra Incused Coin in left-profile relief, an uncrowned portrait engraving by Dan Thorne. Inscriptions read AUSTRALIA, DT, CHARLES III, and 8 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The iconic kookaburra bird soars on the reverse of this 2024 5 oz Australian Kookaburra Incused Coin. The kookaburra is depicted in right-profile mid-flight clutching a snake. These coins also bear the commemorative P125 privy mark celebrating the Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary. Inscriptions include KOOKABURRA, P125, and 2024 5 OZ 9999 SILVER.
History
First introduced in 1990 as a 1 oz coin, the Kookaburra series expanded in 1992 to include 2 oz, 10 oz, and 1 kilo sizes. While the 2 oz was later discontinued, the core 1 oz, 10 oz, and 1 kilo continue annually alongside this special 5 oz incused version.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
