Prior to this expansion, the series was only available as a 1 oz gold coin from 1967 to 1979. The new fractional options included 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. These 2025 1/10 oz South African Gold Krugerrand Coins are available for purchase individually in protective flips or in bulk with plastic tubes containing 50 coins. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. Each coin is made up of 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper, ensuring both quality and value for collectors and investors.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 South African Gold Krugerrand Coin features a left-profile portrait of Paul Kruger. The affectionate nickname Oom Paul (Uncle Paul) reflects his role as a beloved leader. Paul Kruger, who served as the president of the South African Republic, is a central figure in the countrys history. His image on the Krugerrand coin represents both his political importance and his enduring legacy. The powerful portrayal of Kruger, with his thick beard and stern expression, is one of the most recognized depictions in South African numismatics.
