Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Armenian Gold Noahs Ark Coin displays the Armenian coat of arms. This national emblem features a shield divided into four sections, with a lion and eagle on either side. The smaller central shield shows Noahs Ark, reinforcing the connection to Armenias heritage.
Reverse
On the reverse side, the 2025 1 Gram Gold Noahs Ark Coin depicts Noahs Ark resting on calm floodwaters. Behind the ark, Mount Ararat rises, with the sun rising over it, symbolizing a new beginning. A dove carrying an olive branch flies in front, representing peace and hope.
History
Many explorers have tried to find the physical remains of Noah’s Ark, with many focusing on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey, where Genesis 8:4 says the ark came to rest. Although various expeditions and discoveries have been reported, no concrete evidence has confirmed the arks existence or location. Satellite images, archaeological studies, and ground expeditions continue to examine the region.
