The coin was first introduced by the United States Mint in 1986, marking the first time since 1933 that gold coins were struck in large quantities. It also became the purest gold coin from the US Mint since 1834. The American Gold Eagle is made of 22-karat gold, containing 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver. Currently, 2025 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins in certified condition are available from BGASC.

Each 2025 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coin available at BGASC comes with a Mint State 69 certification. This grade ensures that the coin is in near-perfect condition, featuring full mint luster with only minor imperfections that are outside the primary focal points. These minor flaws can include small contact marks or hairlines. First Strike coins are those submitted for grading within 30 days of release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagle features Lady Liberty, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. In this design, Liberty holds a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. Originally made for the $20 Double Eagle coin, this iconic image remained in circulation until 1933.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 1 oz Gold Eagle shows an updated portrayal of the American bald eagle, which was introduced in mid-2021. Designed by Jennie Norris, this detailed image shows the eagle’s head in left-profile relief with a high level of intricacy.

This eagle has great cultural significance, especially in Native American traditions, where it is seen as a sacred animal. It is believed to act as a messenger between humans and the divine, and its feathers play a key role in many spiritual practices.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
