History

The Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman has been an enduring symbol of liberty and strength. It was first used on U.S. half dollars in 1916 and was later revived for the American Silver Eagle series in 1986. This design remains popular due to its beautiful depiction of Lady Liberty, showcasing a strong yet graceful representation of freedom.
