For its 60th anniversary in 2025, the Royal Canadian Mint has created a special set of Silver and Gold Maple Leaf Coins to celebrate. Each 2025 Proof 60th Anniversary of the Canadian Flag Gold Maple Leaf 4-Coin Set is presented in a specially designed wooden box shaped like a maple leaf and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. This set features four coins with gold weights of 1 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz, each encapsulated to keep them in pristine condition.
Obverse
On the obverse, each coin in this set displays Arnold Machins 1965 depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This classic, youthful portrait is recognized as one of the first Canadian coin images of Her Majesty, making it especially fitting for this commemorative release.
Reverse
On the reverse, artist Joel Kimmels sugar maple leaf design is featured on all four coins, with the 1 oz coin highlighted by a colorized red maple leaf to match the iconic color of Canadas national flag. Each coins reverse also bears the double date 1965-2025, marking 60 years since the flag was first flown.
History
The Canadian maple leaf flag, adopted in 1965, was the result of a nationwide effort to find a symbol uniquely Canadian. Before this, Canada used the Canadian Red Ensign, a flag that reflected the countrys British heritage. The maple leaf was chosen as a symbol of Canadas unity and natural beauty.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
