{{/presale}}The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf stands out as one of the most esteemed gold bullion coins available today. As the second gold bullion coin introduced after the Gold Krugerrand, the Gold Maple Leaf is highly sought after by investors worldwide due to its reliable purity and weight guaranteed by the government. It showcases stunning designs and consists of .9999 pure gold in nearly all its editions. Right now, you can purchase 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins online from BGASC.
Highlights:
In this BGASC listing, you can purchase a 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf available from random years of issue. Introduced in 1979, the Gold Maple Leaf has been produced as a gold bullion coin every year since its debut. These coins come with possible abrasions on their design elements or surfaces.
Abrasions on a coin are minor flaws resulting from light rubbing or scuffing, typically occurring when coins come into contact with each other or other objects. These flaws can also result from a coin moving inside an improper holder or drawer, usually found on the raised parts of the coin and in the open background fields.
Obverse
The obverse of 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins features an effigy of either Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II or His Majesty King Charles III. Queen Elizabeth II appeared on the obverse of the coins from 1979 to 2023 in one of three different portraits. Starting in 2024, King Charles III is now featured on the obverse.
Reverse
On the reverse of 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins is the iconic sugar maple leaf design. Created in 1979 by Walter Ott for the first Gold Maple Leafs, this design continues to be used on all Canadian Maple Leaf coins today.
History
