Obverse
On the obverse of the Liberty Gold Eagle, Lady Liberty is depicted in left-profile, wearing a coronet crown inscribed with LIBERTY. This design remained a constant on the coin from its inception in 1838 through its final minting in 1907.
Reverse
The reverse of the Pre-33 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coin features a powerful depiction of the heraldic eagle, a symbol of strength and freedom. The eagle is shown with the US national shield on its chest, clutching the arrows of war in one talon and the olive branch of peace in the other. The earlier Type I coins lack the national motto, while the later Type II coins feature the motto on a banner.
History
The Liberty Gold Eagle was struck from 1838 until 1907, with only one major design change during its lifespan. In 1866, the national motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” was added to the reverse, creating two distinct types of this historic coin.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
