Unlike other coins in the US Eagle gold denomination, the Double Eagle Series features just two designs over its remarkable eight-decade journey. The original design, created by James B. Longacre in 1850, showcases Liberty in all her splendor.

Each Pre-33 $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle in this collection boasts a Mint State 61 grade. While these coins may display some signs of wear, such as diminished mint luster and contact marks, they remain a testament to their historical significance. Please note that the year of issue cannot be guaranteed. Your coin will be selected randomly after payment confirmation.
Obverse
On the obverse side, these Pre-33 Liberty Gold Double Eagles feature a captivating depiction of Lady Liberty. With her hair elegantly styled and a coronet crown gracing her head, Liberty exudes timeless beauty and strength.
Reverse
The reverse side proudly showcases the Great Seal of the United States, a symbol of the nation’s unity and resilience. An eagle, clutching arrows of war and an olive branch of peace, embodies America’s enduring spirit. Throughout its production, this series underwent three reverse design variations, each adding its own unique touch to the coin’s imagery.
History
James B. Longacre, the 4th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, was the mastermind behind the Liberty Gold Double Eagle. His artistic genius also brought us the iconic Indian Head cent, featuring Liberty adorned in a Native American headdress.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
