Obverse
The obverse design of the Pre-33 Liberty Gold Half Eagle Coin features Christian Gobrechts 1836 bust of Liberty. Liberty is depicted in left-profile relief, adorned with a coronet crown and surrounded by a ring of 13 stars.
Reverse
On the reverse side of Pre-33 $5 Liberty Half Eagle Coins, the US Mint showcases the heraldic eagle. This design includes a front-facing bald eagle holding the US national shield, arrows of war, and an olive branch of peace. The nation of issue and face value of FIVE D. are inscribed, with coins dated 1866-1908 featuring a banner with IN GOD WE TRUST.
History
The US Half Eagle denomination from the Liberty Head Series (1839-1908) is one of the more interesting in the broader US Eagle denomination. The Liberty Head design in the Half Eagle denomination was the only coin among the four to be struck by all seven current and historic branches of the US Mint: Philadelphia, Dahlonega (GA), Charlotte (NC), New Orleans, San Francisco, Carson City, and Denver.

Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
