Coin Highlights:
The Proof American Gold Eagle Coin has frosted design elements that overlay the mirrored background fields. The contrasting finishes help the design elements stand out. Each coin is shipped individually inside a protective plastic slab provided by the NGC or the PCGS. This plastic slab can help prevent damage due to shipping and handling such as scratches or dents.
Obverse
The obverse of this proof coin features the classic Lady Liberty design. With the rays of the sun at her back, she is striding towards the viewer with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. Liberty and the mintage year are present as well as stars that surround the outer edge of the obverse.
Reverse
The reverse of this coin features the symbolic American Bald Eagle family. The male is returning to the nest, his partner and hatchling awaiting him. The coin’s weight, metal content, and face value are also present as well as markings of In God We Trust, United States Of America and E Pluribus Unum.
History
The American Gold Eagle Coin was first minted by the U.S. Mint in 1986. The mint also produced a proof version that year and has every year since except for 2009. The Proof American Gold Eagle Coin is still recognized today as one of the worlds finest gold coins.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed.
